Having been a high school athlete (of modest ability), followed by decades of amateur recreational playing and coaching, I fully appreaciate the benefit of discarding spectacles for play. During my ophthalmic career, I have seen an increasing interest in vision correction options by both professional competitors as well as those individuals to whom we commonly refer to as the "weekend warriors." Add to this the shifting demographic of people who "refuse to age" and we have a challenging market that is presenting itself to us.
